Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Acedly is designed as a local-first study experience. Your progress, scores, streaks, badges, bookmarked questions, custom quizzes, and app preferences are stored on your device unless you choose to export or send them elsewhere.

You do not create an account to use Acedly, we do not receive your study content through our own servers, we do not show third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information. We use limited advertising-attribution and app-analytics services to understand whether an ad led to an install or purchase and to measure basic app usage.

2. Information the App Processes

• Study data stored locally on your device (progress, scores, streaks, badges, bookmarks, custom quizzes, and settings such as sound, haptics, and study-reminder preferences).
• Purchase and subscription information handled by the App Store or Google Play, together with our subscription provider (RevenueCat), which processes a pseudonymous app-user identifier and transaction details (such as the product purchased and its purchase, expiration, and status) so we can unlock and restore what you buy.
• On iOS, advertising-attribution information may be processed to measure campaign performance. Depending on your device settings and consent, this may include app install, launch, and retention events; campaign-attribution data; permitted device or advertising identifiers; and StoreKit purchase events such as the product, price, currency, and transaction status.
• On Android, Google Analytics for Firebase may process app-instance and permitted advertising identifiers, campaign and Google Play install-referrer information, app install, launch, session, and retention events, device and operating-system information, approximate location derived from a masked IP address, and Google Play purchase or subscription events such as the product, price, currency, and transaction status.
• The TikTok Business SDK is configured with automatic enhanced identity matching disabled. Acedly does not provide TikTok with your name, email address, or phone number for matching.
• Local notifications the App schedules on your device if you turn on daily study reminders.
• When you request downloadable state content, a standard network request that may include ordinary technical metadata (such as your IP address and app version) used to deliver content, verify your entitlement, and protect the service from abuse. This metadata is not used to build advertising profiles.

3. Device Permissions

The App may ask permission to send you notifications so it can deliver the daily study reminders you enable. You can turn reminders off in the App, or manage notification permissions in your device settings, at any time.

On iOS, the App may also show Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission prompt. If you allow tracking, permitted advertising data may be linked with third-party data for advertising measurement. If you decline, you can continue using the App, the TikTok Business SDK is not initialized, and Apple's privacy-preserving attribution mechanisms may still operate.

4. Sharing and Third-Party Services

We share information only with services that help us operate and measure the App. Apple and Google process App Store and Google Play downloads, updates, crash diagnostics, and billing under their own policies. RevenueCat processes subscription and entitlement status so purchases can be unlocked and restored and, on iOS, collects Apple's advertising-attribution token for campaign measurement.

On iOS, if you authorize tracking, the TikTok Business SDK processes automatic install, launch, retention, and StoreKit purchase events for advertising attribution, analytics, and measurement of our own marketing campaigns. If you decline, the TikTok Business SDK is not initialized. On Android, Google Analytics for Firebase processes the limited app, device, campaign-attribution, and Google Play purchase information described above for analytics and measurement of our own marketing campaigns. These services do not cause third-party ads to appear inside Acedly. Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, and TikTok handle information under their respective privacy policies.

If you export, share, message, or open information from the App in another app or service, that action is controlled by you and handled by the third party you choose.

5. Support Communications

If you contact us for support through our contact form, we may receive your email address, message contents, screenshots, and any diagnostics you choose to include. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for support.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you reset your progress in the App where available, remove saved items, or uninstall the App. Support messages may be retained as needed to respond to requests, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. Advertising-attribution, analytics, and purchase-event data is retained by Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, and TikTok according to their respective policies and settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Acedly is intended for adults preparing for a professional licensing exam and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can reset your study data in the App, turn off reminders, manage iOS tracking permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and manage or cancel subscriptions in your app store account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information; to exercise them, contact us through our contact form.

9. Changes and Contact
