1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how 617SW, LLC("617SW," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with SpiritTrace: Ghost Detector EMF (the "App"), an entertainment EMF-meter app available for iPhone and Android phones.

2. Summary

SpiritTrace is designed as a local-first entertainment experience. Magnetometer readings and app preferences stay on your device. On iOS versions that support evidence clips, those clips are created locally and leave the App only when you choose to export or share them. The Android version does not currently create evidence clips. The App does not record audio and does not operate an account system.

3. Information the App Processes

• Magnetometer (magnetic field) readings from your phone's built-in sensor, used in real time to drive the meter displays, sound, and haptic feedback;
• On iOS versions that support evidence clips, a short rolling activity buffer held locally so the App can create a clip when you request one;
• On supported iOS versions, evidence clips you choose to create and export;
• App settings and display preferences.

We do not receive your magnetometer readings, activity buffer, evidence clips, or app preferences through our own servers unless you choose to include information in a support message or share it through another service.

4. Device Permissions

The App reads the magnetometer through standard iOS or Android sensor APIs, which do not require a permission prompt. SpiritTrace does not request microphone, camera, location, contacts, or local-network access. On iOS, when you choose to share an evidence clip, the system presents its standard share sheet and the destination you select handles the exported file. The Android version does not currently include evidence-clip sharing.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services for app distribution, subscriptions, and entitlement management. These services may include Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.

• Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat may process purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, receipts or purchase tokens, and related technical information needed to provide and restore paid access.
• Apple or Google platform services may process information needed for App Store or Google Play downloads, updates, purchases, refunds, and diagnostics according to your device and store settings.

SpiritTrace does not send your magnetometer readings, activity buffer, evidence clips, or app preferences to Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, or 617SW servers as part of ordinary app use, except where a platform service is used by your chosen action or device setting.

6. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, message contents, screenshots, diagnostics, and any information you choose to include. Please avoid sending personal information unless it is necessary for support.

7. Sharing and Exports

If you export, share, message, email, save, or open information from the App in another app or service, that action is controlled by you and may be handled by Apple, Google, or the selected third party. Evidence-clip export is currently an iOS-only feature.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app settings remain on your device until you change them or uninstall the App. On iOS versions that support evidence clips, the rolling activity buffer is replaced as new readings arrive and is not uploaded by the App, and clips remain only where you choose to save or share them. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to requests, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

9. Children's Privacy

SpiritTrace is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Entertainment Use and Your Choices

SpiritTrace reads a real sensor, but interpreting readings as paranormal activity is for entertainment, experimentation, and atmosphere. You are responsible for deciding what to record, save, delete, export, or share, and for using the App only where you are legally allowed to be.

11. Changes and Contact
