Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of LAN Sentry (the "App"), provided by 617SW, LLC("617SW," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

2. License

Subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable App Store terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or authorized network diagnostics.

3. Apple Standard EULA

Unless we provide a separate custom license in App Store Connect, your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement for apps distributed through the App Store.

4. Authorized Use Only

You may use LAN Sentry only on networks and devices you own, control, or are expressly authorized to inspect. Do not use the App to access, probe, disrupt, monitor, or gather information about networks or devices without permission.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for using the App lawfully and safely, complying with network policies and local laws, protecting exported data, and deciding how to act on scan results. Do not use the App for harassment, unauthorized surveillance, intrusion, disruption, or illegal activity.

6. Scan Results and Accuracy

Network discovery, printer identification, device names, vendors, ports, services, security findings, speed tests, ping, traceroute, DNS checks, and other app output may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate because of router settings, device privacy features, firewalls, VPNs, guest networks, segmented networks, permissions, and operating system behavior.

7. No Professional Security Advice

LAN Sentry provides diagnostic information and convenience tools. It is not a substitute for professional security advice, managed monitoring, compliance testing, incident response, or emergency services.

8. Purchases and Subscriptions

Some features may require an in-app purchase or subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple, and subscription availability, renewal, cancellation, refund handling, and billing are governed by Apple's App Store terms and settings.

9. Data, Backups, and Sharing

You are responsible for your app data, saved device names, notes, tags, scan history, exports, screenshots, backups, and sharing choices, including controlling access to your device and deleting information you no longer want.

10. Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We are not responsible for interruptions, device limitations, permission limitations, operating system changes, third-party service failures, app store changes, or data loss.

11. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 617SW, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, device issues, incorrect output, missed warnings, security incidents, network disruptions, or actions you take based on the App.

13. Changes and Contact
