1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how 617SW, LLC("617SW," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with Network Terrier (the "App"), a WiFi scanner and network utility app for iPhone.

2. Summary

Network Terrier is designed as a local-first network utility. Device scan results, network details, printer identification data, notes, tags, and app preferences are stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, or send information elsewhere.

3. Information the App Processes

• Local network device information such as IP addresses, hostnames, vendors, and MAC addresses when available;
• Network service signals such as Bonjour, mDNS, UPnP, SSDP, NetBIOS, SNMP, ports, and protocol responses;
• Printer-related details such as advertised printer services, device names, capabilities, and reachable ports;
• Diagnostic results such as ping, traceroute, DNS checks, speed tests, and security review findings;
• Local labels, notes, tags, scan history, device presence history, and app settings.

Network Terrier does not operate an account system, and we do not receive your local scan inventory through our own servers unless you choose to include it in a support message or share it through another service.

4. Device Permissions

The App may request Local Network access and use network discovery capabilities to find devices and services on networks you are authorized to inspect. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple services for app distribution, subscriptions, and entitlement verification. It may also contact ipapi.co for public IP and ISP lookup and Cloudflare speed test endpoints when you choose to run network diagnostics. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.

• Apple may process purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, receipts, and related technical information needed to provide and restore Network Terrier Pro access. Subscription verification is performed with Apple StoreKit 2; Network Terrier does not use a third-party subscription service.
• When the App looks up public network information, ipapi.co may receive your public IP address and return approximate ISP and city/region information for display in the App.
• When you run a speed test, Cloudflare speed test endpoints may receive your public IP address and network transfer data necessary to measure download, upload, and latency.

Network Terrier does not send your local device inventory, local MAC addresses, local hostnames, notes, tags, or saved scan history to Apple, ipapi.co, Cloudflare, or 617SW servers as part of ordinary app use.

6. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, message contents, screenshots, diagnostics, and any information you choose to include. Please avoid sending sensitive network details unless they are necessary for support.

7. Sharing and Exports

If you export, share, message, email, save, or open information from the App in another app or service, that action is controlled by you and may be handled by Apple or the selected third party.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the App where available, clear saved information, or uninstall the App. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to requests, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

9. Children's Privacy

Network Terrier is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes and Contact
