SLS Camera
Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 16, 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how 617SW, LLC("617SW," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with SLS Camera (the "App"), an entertainment camera and evidence capture app for iPhone.
2. Summary
SLS Camera is designed as a local-first entertainment experience. Camera sessions, recordings, transcripts, notes, locations you save, motion readings, audit logs, and app preferences are stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, save, or send them elsewhere.
3. Information the App Processes
- Camera preview frames used for live scanning, figure overlays, and saved recordings;
- Microphone audio used for EVP monitoring while recording;
- Speech recognition text and timestamped transcript lines when transcription is available;
- Optional location details, GPS coordinates, place labels, room names, and investigation notes;
- Motion and device sensor readings used for mounted watch and session context;
- Saved evidence clips, audit logs, app settings, and camera/filter preferences.
SLS Camera does not operate an account system, and we do not receive your camera recordings, microphone audio, transcripts, saved clips, location notes, or session journal through our own servers unless you choose to include them in a support message or share them through another service.
4. Device Permissions
The App may request camera access for live scanning and video capture, microphone access for EVP monitoring, speech recognition access for transcription, location access for optional capture metadata, motion sensor access for session tools, and Photos access when you choose to save a video to your camera roll. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.
5. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for app distribution, subscriptions, entitlement management, speech recognition, maps, and optional sharing. These services may include Apple and RevenueCat. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.
- Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, receipts, and related technical information needed to provide and restore SLS Camera Pro access.
- Apple platform services may process information needed for App Store downloads, updates, crash diagnostics, speech recognition, Photos actions, maps, and device permissions.
SLS Camera does not send your saved camera clips, microphone recordings, transcripts, notes, saved locations, or evidence journal to Apple, RevenueCat, or 617SW servers as part of ordinary app use, except where an Apple platform service is used by your chosen action or device setting.
6. Support Communications
If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, message contents, screenshots, diagnostics, and any information you choose to include. Please avoid sending sensitive videos, audio, location details, or personal information unless they are necessary for support.
7. Sharing and Exports
If you export, share, message, email, save, or open information from the App in another app or service, that action is controlled by you and may be handled by Apple or the selected third party.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the App where available, remove saved information, or uninstall the App. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to requests, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
9. Children's Privacy
SLS Camera is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Entertainment Use and Your Choices
SLS Camera is for entertainment, experimentation, and atmosphere. You are responsible for deciding what to record, save, delete, export, or share, and for using the App only where you are legally allowed to be.
11. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Questions can be sent through our contact form.
