Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how 617SW, LLC("617SW," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with SoftRise (the "App"), a sleep sounds, white noise, and sleep clock app for iPhone.

2. Summary

SoftRise is designed as a local-first experience. Your sound choices, saved blends and mixes, sound library state, sleep clock and scene settings, unwind timer preferences, wake alarm settings, and app preferences are stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, or send them elsewhere. SoftRise has no account system.

3. Information the App Processes

  • Sound, blend, mix, and playback preferences stored on your device;
  • Sleep clock, nightstand scene, and unwind timer settings;
  • Wake alarm settings, including times, weekdays, tones, and snooze options;
  • Optional approximate location used only on your device to calculate local sunrise and sunset times for the solar sleep clock;
  • App settings, favorites, and interface preferences.

SoftRise does not operate an account system, and we do not receive your sound preferences, saved blends, clock or alarm settings, or location through our own servers unless you choose to include them in a support message.

4. Device Permissions

The App may request notification access to deliver your wake alarm, and optional location access used solely on-device to compute sunrise and sunset times for the solar clock. SoftRise does not use the camera or microphone. Location is optional, is not required to use the App, and is not transmitted off your device by SoftRise. You can manage all permissions in iOS Settings.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services for app distribution and subscription management. These services include Apple and RevenueCat, and their handling of information is governed by their own policies.

  • Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, receipts, a RevenueCat-generated app user identifier, and related technical information needed to provide, restore, and manage SoftRise Pro access.
  • Apple platform services may process information needed for App Store downloads, updates, crash diagnostics, notifications, and device permissions.

RevenueCat receives subscription and identifier information as described above so that we can manage entitlements and restore purchases. SoftRise does not send your sound preferences, saved blends, clock settings, alarm settings, or location to RevenueCat or 617SW servers.

6. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, message contents, screenshots, diagnostics, and any information you choose to include. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for support.

7. Sharing and Exports

If you export, share, message, email, or open information from the App in another app or service, that action is controlled by you and may be handled by Apple or the selected third party.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you change it in the App, remove saved information, or uninstall the App. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained under their policies. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to requests, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

9. Children's Privacy

SoftRise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Questions can be sent through our contact form.
